FIT New York guest lecture

Guest Lecture on zero-waste design at FIT New York with Professor Juliana Cho

We recently had the opportunity to visit the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York, where we were invited by Professor Juliana Cho to give a lecture on zero-waste design. The session introduced FIT students to triple-bottom-line fashion practices, focusing on the principles and challenges of zero-waste design.

During the lecture, we facilitated a design sprint, allowing students to engage directly with the key concepts and practicalities of minimizing waste in fashion design. The event concluded with a comprehensive Q&A session, fostering a dialogue about the role of sustainability in the future of the fashion industry.

We appreciate Professor Juliana Cho for hosting us and providing an opportunity to discuss these important issues with the next generation of fashion professionals.

Thanks also to Antara from the Fashion Council Germany for coordinating this valuable educational exchange. This engagement at FIT was a productive step in promoting sustainable practices within the fashion education community.
