meet the people behind Natascha von Hirschhausen

founder Natascha von Hirschhausen

chief of enterprise values (CEV) Natascha von Hirschhausen

Hi, I am Natascha. I studied fashion at weißensee kunsthochschule Berlin. During my master studies I took part in a collaboration project between Universität der Künste, weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and Goethe Institut Bangladesh and had the chance to travel to Bangladesh. Being there and experiencing the country with its rich culture, but also its endless mountains of waste, had a huge impact on me. Since then, my goal has been to avoid waste in the first place, rather than upcycling leftovers, because I believe that we have to change the fashion system fundamentally. So I invented my own way of cutting patterns zero-waste. Plus I only used fair and organic materials for every component from the beginning on. One year after founding the brand, I got awarded with the Federal Award Ecodesign in 2017.

Personally, I love to hide behind the camera, my collection, my work, whatever is easiest to pull in front of my nose. I rather enjoy making meaningful products in my Berlin based studio. This only shifts whenever I can talk about my passion for sustainable fashion and zero-waste design in workshops and lectures. I strongly believe in standing together. That is why I co-founded a network for sustainable fashion design. My goal is in growing the brand, for I am truly and deeply in love with my products - for a wasteless future!

co-founder Lukas von Hirschhausen

jack of all trades Lukas von Hirschhausen

Hi, my name is Lukas. I am super happy, that Natascha has taken me on this crazy fashion journey, even though I am more of a pants and t-shirt kinda guy. Over the years Tascha has been infectious with her enthusiasm about the philosophy of fashion. So I have been more and more involved. It started with simple support and having her back up to being an active part in a growing fashion label. In 2018, Natascha gave me her last name and all my base are belong to her now *nerd alert*. Since then my main goal is to push the label to the point where I can be a stay at home trophy husband - so shop now!

sustainable textile lover Antonia

Hi, my name is Antonia and I study textile design. I love working with textiles, there are so many differences in small details, the customer can’t even see. I love adapting these details for the products special use. I also believe that the textile industry has a great future and can contribute a lot to sustainable development.
Because of my passion for textiles I love the solution of Natascha zero waste cuts, because it truly values the effort and resources behind the textiles and is, in my opinion, the only way to justify textile production in the future. I'm really looking forward to learning more about sustainable industry design and processes.

master of the threads Jule

Hey there, my name is Jule. I completed my tailor apprenticeship last year and am now gaining some more work experience before studying fashion design.

I love to support the creation of good products for a good company, that´s why I am doing an internship in Natascha's studio. I believe that the transformation of the fashion industry towards sustainability is not only absolutely necessary, but also possible. Provided that sustainability is not just another sales argument, but becomes a real inner attitude of the fashion industry. Labels like Natascha von Hirschhausen prove that consequence works. I am particularly impressed by Natascha's zero waste cutting technique and looking forward to learn more about it in the coming months.

Jonas Bohn Team bei Natascha von Hirschhausen

fashion designer at heart Jonas

Hello, my name is Jonas Bohn and I am 21 years old. I'm doing an apprenticeship as a tailor at Medien College Berlin. As part of that I am part of the team of Natascha von Hirschhausen for an internship for the next 6 months.
When I sew for myself, I am shocked at how much of the fabric is left over. So I'm very intrigued by Natasha's zero waste cutting technique. I am excited to join the team to learn more about it. Later on, I want to study sustainable fashion design, and I think this is the best place to prepare for that.
Hi, my name is Julia. I study fashion design In Willem De Kooning, in Rotterdam. As part of the course, I am doing my internship with Natascha von Hirschhausen. For me fashion is a big platform where I feel, I can make a difference and share my voice through a creative way. With my designs, I want my clothes not to be targeted for any specific person or gender, but to make everyone feel comfortable in anything they  desire. I always focus on working sustainably in any way possible. By doing my internship with Natascha, zero waste work is yet another big aspect I am excited to learn and develop, as well as the future of digital design!
