"I am fascinated in fashion as a mirror of society. I see my responsibility as a designer in helping to shape it in a future-oriented way."

Hi, I am Natascha. This journey started, when I studied physics. And it took one amazing superhuman being of a man, to convince my younger me to switch gears into fashion design. And spoiler alert: Yes, I married him and now we run this company together.

So fashion design: I studied fashion at weißensee kunsthochschule Berlin. During my master studies I took part in a collaboration project between Universität der Künste, weißensee kunsthochschule berlin and Goethe Institut Bangladesh and had the chance to travel to Bangladesh. Being there and experiencing the country with its rich culture, but also its endless mountains of waste, had a huge impact on me. I have always questioned if putting another collection on an overflowing market could be sustainable at all - this experience changed that.

Since then, my goal has been to avoid waste in the first place, rather than upcycling leftovers, because I believe that we have to change the fashion system fundamentally. So I invented my own way of cutting patterns zero-waste. Plus I only used fair and organic materials for every component from the beginning on. One year after founding the brand, I got awarded with the Federal Award Ecodesign in 2017.

Personally, I love to hide behind the camera, my collection, my work, whatever is easiest to pull in front of my nose. I rather enjoy making meaningful products in my Berlin based studio. This only shifts whenever I can talk about my passion for sustainable fashion and zero-waste design in workshops and lectures.

I believe in standing together, for we can only change fashion as one. That is why I co-founded a network for sustainable fashion design. So get in touch!

Right now my main goal is in growing the brand, for I am truly and deeply in love with my products - empowering women with fashion!

co-founder Lukas von Hirschhausen

Hi, my name is Lukas. I am super happy, that Natascha has taken me on this crazy fashion journey, even though I am more of a pants and t-shirt kinda guy. Over the years Tascha has been infectious with her enthusiasm about the philosophy of fashion. So I have been more and more involved. It started with simple support and having her back up to being an active part in a growing fashion label. In 2018, Natascha gave me her last name and all my base are belong to her now *nerd alert*. Since then my main goal is to push the label to the point where I can be a stay at home trophy husband - so shop now!

our Jolien Develtere

multi-talent Jolien Develtere

Hi, I am Jolien!  Since mid June 2020, I have the chance to join the Natascha Von Hirschhausen team as an intern for 3 months and couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity!
No, I am not studying fashion design or even studying at all at the moment, on the contrary I have a full-time job in Belgium and studied Psychology. But my pure interest and passion lies in everything related to sustainable fashion and changing the industry and consumer mentality. Natascha gave me the unique opportunity to be part of the team and learn every part of the process of developing a fashion brand. I hope that in return I can add value to the future plans and growth of the brand!
My long term dream is to further develop my own sustainable jewellery/lifestyle brand EdithxJudith. Natascha´s vision and mindset will for sure be a source of inspiration to work towards that goal. Her passion and dedication is contagious!

tailor-to-be Jakob Roll

Hi I am Jakob, I am 20 years old and really happy to have the opportunity to work as an intern at Natascha von Hirschhausen over the next 6 months.  In 2019, I’ve started my education as a tailor at mediencollege Berlin. Working here will allow me to deep-dive into sustainable and eco-friendly fashion because I realise how important it is nowadays to rethink the fashion industry. In the coming years I want to incorporate the things I am learning here into my own designs and start fashion design studies after finishing. I dream about having my own brand one day, with a focus on high quality garments.
My friends call me often ´the fashion police´ because I like to style them and take them out of their comfort zone.
